What Matters Most to God … and to Awana

Young people hold a special place in Jesus’ heart. He created them. He sacrificed His life for their sins. He longs for them to know, love and serve Him. He desires to spend eternity with them. His kingdom belongs to such as these.

Awana believes that memorizing and understanding the Bible is vital. Studying and memorizing God’s Word are keys to winning the battle against sin and growing in our daily walk with Christ. Deuteronomy 11:18-19 mandates us as parents to teach God’s words to our children. We take this responsibility very seriously. In AWANA we try to create an atmosphere in which your child can learn spiritual truths in a positive and pleasant manner with respect, kindness and concern. This gives you as parents the benefit of a structured, fun and motivating system to assist you in following Gods mandate.

Our kids need to know Christian doctrine and Truth. They need solid grounding in good theology and a Christian worldview to survive in their world. To accomplish this, our kids will have to work hard and study. They will need your help and your prayers.

We encourage parents to:

Schedule a time each day for your children to study their Awana handbooks.

Listen to your children practice their sections several times each week.

Ask them questions about the truths they are learning and look for ways to show them how these truths apply to their lives.

Look over the Pacing Schedule and help keep your child on track in their handbook achievements so they can finish their book by the end of the year.

Pray for your children daily.

Pray for us as we strive to evangelize and equip young children for service to our Lord.

Be involved in special activities and club events.

Invite other children to the club.

I pray that God will richly bless your efforts and that your walk with Christ will be rich and fruitful.
