There's lots of great ways to get involved in missions in UR309.
MISSION TRIPS
One of the biggest ways to be involved in missions is to go on a summer missions trip. This trip is open to the Senior High Students of Duncan Park Baptist Church. We have traveled to places such as Canada, Mexico, New York, Hungary, and the Dominican Republic. Whenever possible we try to visit a missionary that is supported by our church. While we are there we help them with whatever work needs to be done. Many times it is construction or maintanence work. Other times it is Vacation Bible School or Sports Camps.
Our teenagers have recently returned from at trip to the island of Grenada. Trip Pictures coming soon.
BUT...you don't have to go out of town to be involved in missions. There are plenty of other ways to be involved.
PRAY
I believe all of our missionaries would agree that to pray for them is the most important thing that you can do for them. Remember to pray for the missionary of the week.
SEND LETTERS, CARDS OR E-MAIL

DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE TEENS
Many of our missionary families have teenagers. At times they have been involved in our youth group while home on furlough. Don't forget to pray and send letters to the teens. They're going through the same things you are just in another part of the world.
BEING A SERVANT
There are plenty of other ways - big and small - that our group can reach out to our church and to our community. Think of ways that the teens of UR309 can make a difference for Christ.
