Duncan Park is dedicated to encouraging the spiritual growth of the women of our church. Bible Study and fellowship, allow us to grow closer to each other, while learning to be more like Christ. Here are a few of the regular ministries for women at Duncan Park.

Heart To Heart Bible Study and Fellowship

Fall Retreat

Once a year, we take the opportunity to "get away" from the stress of our daily lives and relax with the company of the other women in our church. Games, skits, music, friends, fellowship, activities, shopping, food, food, and more food.... well, it is a lot of FUN. We also have sessions throughout the weekend, where our special speaker will encourage and teach us about issues we face in our lives daily. This year we are planning to return to Townsend, TN, near Gatlinburg, so make plans now to join us this fall.

Spring Tea

Another annual tradition is the Spring Tea. One year we took a trip to a local tea room. Another year a few ladies decorated tables and invited others to join them for lunch. You never know what the Spring Tea is going to be like, but you always know it is going to be a special time to spend with other ladies. We always have a great speaker. The food is delicious and typically prepared and served by men in the church. Be looking for information on this years Spring Tea coming soon.

Women's Ministry Committee

This group of ladies is dedicated to serving the women and families in our church. They are typically in charge of decorating the church with flowers or for Christmas.  The ladies also take care of organizing meals when there is a death in a family or the birth of a new baby. The women's ministry plans annual events such as the fall retreat and the Spring tea. Sending cards, creating bulletin boards and arranging flowers are just a few of the things the ladies ministry is involved in. If you would like to serve on this committee in the future, let one of the committee members know. You are also always welcome to help out with cooking or serving meals, decorating the church, and more.
